What is a KegeratorParts List | Best Temp | How long will beer last | CO2 cylinder last | Where can I get my CO2 tank filled | Why is my beer coming out all foamy

Why do I need a Kegerator ?

If a keg of beer holds 7.5 cases of beer or 190 bottles and it cost $45.00 for the keg of beer you can get one glass of beer for $.23 a beer, so if the keg is less expensive then the beer per glass are less expensive. In short  if a case of beer cost $20 and a  keg cost $45.00, then you save $100.00 using a keg over  cases of beer. It would only take 5 kegs to pay for a draft beer system.

What is a Kegerator.

A Kegerator is a compact refrigerator converted to hold your favorite two 5 ltr pub kegs or 1/4 barrel or 1/2 barrel of beer. The Kegerator includes everything need to have a draft beer system except the co2 and the beer.

At what temperature should draft beer be kept?

Draft beer is not pasteurized, so it must be kept cold-preferably 38-40 degrees F. Temperatures above 45 degrees May cause the beer to sour.

How long will my draft beer stay fresh once I have tapped the keg?

Once it's tapped, draft beer should be consumed within 20-30 days otherwise it tends to lose its fresh brewery taste but a Keg  Using straight Co2 will last up to 3 months..

How long does the 5 lb. CO2 cylinder last?

5 pounds of CO2 should dispense approx. 5-7 half barrels. Make sure that all air line connections are good and tight. CO2 can leak very easily. Its best to leave the tank outside of the fridge if possible. You will get more air out of the tank if it's kept at a warmer temperature.

Where can I get my CO2 tank filled?

Look in your local phone books yellow pages under the heading "Gas". There should be several gas distributors in your area. To fill a 5 pound CO2 tank usually costs between $10.00 and $15.00 depending upon where you're standing.

Why is my beer coming out all foamy?

Foamy beer can be caused by many things. Warm spots in the beer line, dirty beer lines, twists or kinks in beer line. Warm beer will cause foamy beer. Also, let the keg settle for 2-3 hours before tapping it. Too much carbonation in the keg will cause foamy beer.
